On June 14, 2012, the Houston-Galveston Area Council is hosting a luncheon to honor Dr. Richard E. Wainerdi. Dr. Wainerdi will be presented with an award for his outstanding contributions in improving the region's transportation and air quality through his leadership of the Texas Medical Center.
